This pin features one of the RARE Disney items you will find with the purple monorail. After the unfortunate accident between the pink monorail train and the purple monorail train on July 4th 2009 resulting in the death the purple monorail pilot. Both of those colored monorails were pulled from the fleet and officially retired. No new monorail items with those colors have been released since, except for the release of a Epcot Starbucks Mug in Jan 2015 that had a purple monorail on it but as soon as the errr was spotted it was immediately pulled from the shelves. It was only available by trading off a cast member's lanyard.
