For years after the start of Star Wars Weekends Disney artists had wanted to create Star Wars and Disney character mash ups and had to get Lucas's permission which they finally received. A few years later they purchased LucasFilm. After purchase of LucasFilm, ironically in 2015 at D-23 Disney announced the end to the combo or mash up figures. Donald As Boba Fett now is retired in so many ways.

Because Disney announced in 2015 at D-23 the end of Star Wars mash up figures, logos and characters and it is likely that they also quietly laid to rest Star Wars Weekends with  the last one having been in 2015. This makes this Donald as Boba Fett medium big fig signed during the final Star Wars Weekends event in 2015 rare (and an historical figure so to speak). Jeremy Bulloch autographed it and wrote Star Wars Weekends 2015.  We have good reason to believe in the future there may no longer be any Star Wars celebrities autograph sessions at future Disney Star Wars events. With no more mash ups and if there are no more Star Wars Weekends or celebrities autograph sessions this increases the uniqueness and therefore its desirability to any collector now and in the future.

In addition it seems likely that Disney going forward, will focus on and promote a different agenda with characters they have and will invent. This will most likely reform the Star Wars franchise as it will be using the movies and animation series characters which they invented and which will be designed to promote the Disney world view which will most help the corporation in their world concepts for the future. This will most likely make the George Lucas's Classic Star Wars characters, from the original trilogy and the actors' autographs and character figures, cels, prints, medium big figurines etc. increasingly rare as time goes on. It is the end of the creative genius of the George Lucas Star Wars era.This figure is from that George Lucas Star Wars era which makes it rare and more desirable for collections as time passes as no more items from that era can be produced.
