Sadly Peter Mayhew passed away 30th April 2019 Peter Mayhew made his debut to film in 1977 as Minoton in “Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger” he then stared as Chewbacca in “Star Wars III, IV, V, VI VII & VIII”, The Muppet Show :Episode #417 with Mark Hamill, Return of the Ewok and Live with Regis and Kelly: Episode 5.17.05. Chewbacca received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the “1997 MTV Movie Awards”. Before Peter was a actor and in between his acting roles Peter was a hospital orderly and has as Chewbacca made many appearances at Children's Home and Hospitals, and often took them toys. Peter Mayhew has also written two books "Growing Up Giant" and "My Favourite Giant" |
