All aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad Train Set inspired by the Walt Disney World Railroad.
The Original Walter E. Disney train was built in the United States between 1915 and 1928. Later the train was taken to the southern jungles of Mexico's Yucatan to haul passengers as well as sugar, hemp and jute. Disney found the trains in 1969, at which time the United Railways of Yucatan were using them to carry sugarcane. They were disassembled and shipped to Gulf Coast to be renovated and used at the Walt Disney World. Today the Walter E.Disney steam engine hauls Walt Disney World guests in the five open-sided passenger cars on a 1½ mile track around the perimeter of the Magic Kingdom Park.
