George Lucas personally approved this Disney artist's hand drawn, hand colored, double matted in Yoda green and beautifully framed in fine rich wood grain frame measuring 17" x 14 1/4" With official Star Wars Weekends 2011 event Logo stamped on drawing and artist autograph. This amazingly fine collectors full-color illustration features "Stitch as Yoda" with his lightsaber ready to fight evil. This beautiful artwork was created to celebrate Star Wars Weekends 2011 the year of The Relaunch of Star Tours 2 when George Lucas was part of the grand re-opening of the Star Tours attraction and to pay homage to the Star Wars Jedi Master Yoda. It was only the second year any hand drawn full-color illustrations were done for Star Wars Weekends. As of 2015 after Disney bought LucasFilm and announced the end of these "mash-ups" characters. This makes it very rare today. This cute yet intriguing creation is in a very limited edition of only 40 which sold out at the Star Wars Weekends 2011 event so don't let this one get away. Collectors will want this and the previous years original Donald as Boba Fett Star Wars Weekends 2010 in their collections both by Disney artist Jason Zucker. Jason is one of 2 Disney artists who created the first fine artwork and brought to life this idea for Star Wars Weekends in 2010. So you have some historical significance attached to this investment too.

This is a very detailed fine artwork and is a sought after piece as it was designed especially for Star Wars Weekends 2011 and personally approved by Star Wars producer and director George Lucas for this event before he sold LucasFilm to Disney who then announced that no more mash up figures would be permitted. All forty of these illustrations were sold out in the 1st day during the event. This is simply a wonderful and detailed hand drawn and colored illustration with Yoda-green matting and artist framed in fine grained wood.
