| This is a rare Star Wars Weekends 2003 Bronze Coin one of only 500 of this limited edition ever made. Individual coins were no longer made after 2009. This coin has been double autographed. First by star wars "Wookie" actor Peter Mayhew and secondly by the Walt Disney design artist who created the logo and this coin for this 2003 event. This coin comes with a bonus of 2 photos; one each of them signing this coin.
THE STAR WARS WEEKENDS 2003 BRONZE COIN: Released the second week of the 5 week event on May 30th, 2003 and autographed the Jun 8th 2003. Its was sold out quickly as the edition size was just 500. Later year's edition sizes were 1000 or more until they no longer were produced after 2009. This bronze coin was the second to sell out at the event (first being the Nickel Silver coin released the prior weekend). That made this edition of this coin the one which most collectors want to have, and are probably missing in their collection now and in the future. These will stay in fans and collectors hands. CLASSIC LOGO : MICKEY YODA LIGHTSABERS This became one of the classic SWW logos. Disney design artist Randy Noble designed the logo on this coin and it is the probably the most sought after. Its become arguably the most popular logo of all the SWW events. Its a now a Disney Star Wars classic with several later years incorporating Jedi Mickey and Yoda into other items and designs. The coin face has the classic logo with both Mickey and Yoda as Jedi's warming up their lightsabers and getting ready to fight evil together. To protect your collector coin and autograph it comes in a convenient durable Plexiglas display case. THE FIRST AUTOGRAPH: Is by Peter Mayhew or better know as "The Wookiee, Chewbacca" Mayhew has played part of Chewbacca in four Star Wars films: the original Star Wars trilogy (Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi) and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Mayhew also plays the role in commercials and for hospital appearances for sick children. When cast in the role he studied the movement of large animals at the zoo to come up with an authentic sense of movement for Chewbacca. When Mayhew grew ill in the shooting of "The Empire Strikes Back" a similarly tall stand in was used, but the actor could not match Mayhew's studied movement style and the scenes had to be re-shot upon Mayhew's recovery. Mayhew has made numerous appearances as Chewbacca outside the Star Wars films. Mayhew as Chewbacca was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the MTV Movie Awards 1997. He was also honored at the release of the new PlayStation Portable where he dressed as Chewbacca and held up the new PSP slim version. Mayhew also reprised his role in the Disney theme park attraction, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. THE SECOND AUTOGRAPH: is by none other than the Disney Design Artist who created this fantastic coin and also all the other Star Wars Weekends official artwork from 200 through 2005 events, Senior Disney Design Artist, Mr. Randy Noble. You will also receive the above photo with Randy autographing the coin he designed.
