This is a major Disney milestone ~ the creation of the 50^th cel from the Studios Ink & Paint Collection which is paying homage to the very first cel that started it all, "Animator Mickey" back in 1989 when all our beloved Disney and classic animated films were created by the labour intensive long process of hand-paint each cel in the films

The talented Studios Ink & Paint Team has recreated the beloved "Animator Mickey" and given it an exciting new look by incorporating all of the best cels. I counted all 49, from the past into the wall montage of cels as the "Milestone Mickey" background.

For each "Milestone Mickey" Cel, the Disney team has meticulously recreated and hand-painted "Animator Mickey" just as he appeared in the very first cel of the Ink and Paint Collection in the original cel release back in 1989 for the grand opening of Disney's MGM Studios theme park (now renamed Disney's Hollywood Studios).

This is one of less than 70 of these framed 3 way collector versions which includes the postcard autographed by the 7 Disney artists who created it ~ Design Group Artist, Costa Alavezos and Ink & Paint Artists, Erin Magill, Theodora M. DeLaney, David Rippberger, James Bonserio Lynn Rippberger, and Sharon K. Vincent.
